ಅವಧೂತಾಯ ಚ ತಾಂ ಬುದ್ಧಿಂ ಬಭೂವಾಸ್ಥಿತ ತದಾ|
ಜಗಾಮ ಚಾಪರಾಂ ಚಿಂತಾಂ ಸೀತಾಂ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ||1||

ಸ|| ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ ತಾಂ ಬುದ್ಧಿಂ ಅವಧೂಯ ಅವಸ್ಥಿತಃ ಬಭೂವ| ಸೀತಾಂ ಪ್ರತಿ ಅಪರಂ ಚಿಂತಾಂ ಜಗಾಮ||

The great Vanara having rejected his judgement stood there. Then started thinking about Sita again.

ನ ರಾಮೇಣ ವಿಯುಕ್ತಾ ಸಾ ಸ್ವಪ್ತು ಮರ್ಹತಿ ಭಾಮಿನೀ|
ನ ಭೋಕ್ತುಂ ನಾಪ್ಯಲಂಕರ್ತುಂ ನ ಪಾನಮುಪಸೇವಿತುಮ್||2||
ನಾನ್ಯಂ ನರಮುಪಸ್ಥಾತುಂ ಸುರಾಣಾಮಪಿ ಚೇಶ್ವರೀಮ್|
ನ ಹಿ ರಾಮಃ ಸಮಃ ಕಶ್ಚಿತ್ ವಿದ್ಯತೇ ತ್ರಿದಶೇಷ್ವಪಿ||3||

ಸ|| ಭಾಮಿನೀ ರಾಮೇಣಾ ವಿಯುಕ್ತಾ ಸ್ವಪ್ತುಂ ನ ಅರ್ಹತಿ | ಭೋಕ್ತುಂ ನ | ನ ಅಲಂಕರ್ತುಂ | ನ ಪಾನಂ ಉಪಸೇವಿತುಮ್|| ನ ಅನ್ಯಂ ನರಂ ಉಪಸ್ಥಾತುಂ ಸುರಾಣಾಂ ಈಶ್ವರಮ್ ಅಪಿ ನ | ರಾಮಃ ಸಮಃ ತ್ರಿದಶೇಷ್ವಪಿ ನ ಕಶ್ಚಿತ್ ವಿದ್ಯತೇ||

(Sita) The lovely lady separated from Rama will not sleep. Not eat. Not decorate herself. Not drink. Not approach another man even if it is the Lord among the Gods. There is none equal to Rama even among Gods.

Having decided that she is some body else he started moving about in the banquet hall. There are women exhausted by sporting, there are others exhausted by singing. Some others were exhausted by dancing. Yet others worn out due to drinking. There were others resting on Murajas, Tabors, in hassocks.

ತಥಾಸ್ತರಣ ಮುಖ್ಯೇಷು ಸಂವಿಷ್ಠಾ ಶ್ಚಾಪರಾ ಸ್ತ್ರಿಯಃ |
ಅಂಗನಾನಾಂ ಸಹಸ್ರೇಣ ಭೂಷಿತೇನ ವಿಭೂಷಣೈಃ||6||

ಸ|| ತಥಾ ಅಪರಾಃ ಸ್ತ್ರಿಯಃ ಆಸ್ಥರಣ ಮುಖ್ಯೇಷು ಸಂಸ್ಥಿತಾಃ | ಹರಿಯೂಥಪಃ ವಿಭೂಷಣೇನ ಭೂಷಿತೈಃ ರೂಪಸಲ್ಲಾಪಶೀಲೇನ ಯುಕ್ತಗೀತಾರ್ಥಭಾಷಿಣಾ ದೇಶಕಾಲಾಭಿಯುಕ್ತೇನ ಯುಕ್ತವಾಕ್ಯಾಭಿಧಾಯಿನಾ ರತಾಭಿರತಸಂಸುಪ್ತಂ ಸಹಸ್ರೇಣ ಅಂಗನಾನಾಂ ದದರ್ಶ||

Other ladies were resting on exquisite beds. The best among Vanaras saw thousands of women adorned with ornaments who are good at arguments who are well versed in appreciation, who are well aware of the time and place, who are good at appropriate expressions, who were sleeping after dalliance.

ತಾಸಾಂ ಮಧ್ಯೇ ಮಹಾಬಾಹುಃ ಶುಶುಭೇ ರಾಕ್ಷಸೇಶ್ವರಃ||8||
ಗೋಷ್ಠೇಮಹತಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಾನಾಂ ಗವಾಂ ಮಧ್ಯೇ ಯಥಾ ವೃಷಃ|
ಸ ರಾಕ್ಷಸೇಂದ್ರ ಶುಶ್ಶುಭೇ ತಾಭಿಃ ಪರಿವೃತಃ ಸ್ವಯಮ್||9||
ಕರೇಣುಭಿರ್ಯಥಾsರಣ್ಯೇ ಪರಿಕೀರ್ಣೋ ಮಹಾದ್ವಿಪಃ|

ಸ|| ತಾಸಾಂ ಮಧ್ಯೇ ಮಹಾಬಾಹುಃ ರಾಕ್ಷಸೇಶ್ವರಃ ಯಥಾ ಮಹತಿ ಗೋಷ್ಠೇ ಗವಾಂ ಮಧ್ಯೇ ವೃಷಃ ಇವ ಶುಶುಭೇ || ತಾಭಿ ಪರಿವೃತಃ ಸಃ ರಾಕ್ಷಸೇಂದ್ರಃ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಯಥಾ ಮಹಾರಣ್ಯೇ ಕರೇಣುಭಿಃ ಪರಿಕೀರ್ಣಃ ದ್ವಿಪಃ ಇವ ಶುಶುಭೇ||

In the midst of these women, the king of Rakshasas with powerful arms shone like a bull among the cows in a big cowshed. Surrounded by these women the king of Rakshasas shone like a great elephant among the female elephants in a big forest.

ದದರ್ಶ ಹರಿಶಾರ್ದೂಲಃ ತಸ್ಯ ರಕ್ಷಃ ಪತೇರ್ಗೃಹೇ|
ಮೃಗಾಣಾಂ ಮಹಿಷಾಣಾಂ ಚ ವರಾಹಾಣಾಂಚ ಭಾಗಶಃ||11||
ತತ್ರ ನ್ಯಸ್ತಾನಿ ಮಾಂಸಾನಿ ಪಾನಭೂಮೌ ದದರ್ಶ ಸಃ|

ಸ|| ಮಹಾತ್ಮನಃ ಹರಿಶಾರ್ದೂಲಃ ಸರ್ವ ಕಾಮೈಃ ಉಪೇತಾಂ ಪಾನಭೂಮಿಂ ಚ ತಸ್ಯ ರಕ್ಷಃ ಪತೇಃ ಗೃಹೇ ದದರ್ಶ|| ತತ್ರ ಪಾನಭೂಮೌ ಭಾಗಶಃ ನ್ಯಸ್ತಾನಿ ಮೃಗಾಣಾಂ ಮಹಿಷಾಣಾಂ ಚ ವರಾಹಾಣಾಂ ಚ ಮಾಂಸಾನಿದದರ್ಶ||

The great one, a tiger among the Vanaras, then saw a banquet hall which is provided with everything in the palace of the king of Rakshasas. There in that banquet hall apportioned meat of deer, buffaloes and pigs was placed.

ರೌಕ್ಮೇಷು ಚ ವಿಶಾಲೇಷು ಭಾಜನೇಷ್ವರ್ಥ ಭಕ್ಷಿತಾನ್||12||
ದದರ್ಶ ಹರಿಶಾರ್ದೂಲೋ ಮಯೂರಾನ್ ಕುಕ್ಕುಟಾಂಸ್ತಥಾ|
ವರಾಹವಾರ್ಥ್ರಾಣಸಕಾನ್ ದಧಿಸೌವರ್ಚಲಾಯುತಾನ್||13||
ಶಲ್ಯಾನ್ ಮೃಗಮಯೂರಾಂಶ್ಚ ಹನುಮಾನನ್ವವೈಕ್ಷತ|

ಸ|| ಹರಿಶಾರ್ದೂಲಃ ರೌಕ್ಮೇಷು ವಿಶಾಲೇಷು ಭಾಜನೇಷು ಅರ್ಥಭಕ್ಷಿತಾನ್ ಮಯೂರಾನ್ ತಥಾ ಕುಕ್ಕುಟಾನ್ ದದರ್ಶ||ಶಲ್ಯಾನ್ ದಧಿಸೌವರ್ಚಲಾಯುತಾನ್ ವರಾಹವಾರ್ಧ್ರಾಣಸಕಾನ್ ಮೃಗಮಯೂರಾಂಶ್ಚ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಅನ್ವವೈಕ್ಷತ||

The tiger among the Vanaras saw large golden vessels with half eaten peacocks as well as chicken. Hanuman observed bones marinated with yogurt and special salt , meat of pigs and jungle fowls as well as deer and peacocks.

ವಿವಿಧಾನ್ ಸಿದ್ಧಾನ್ ಕ್ರಕರಾನ್ ಚಕೋರಾನ್ ಮಹಿಷಾನ್ ಏಕಶಲ್ಯಾಂಶ್ಚ ಛಗಾಂಶ್ಚ ಉಚ್ಚವಚಾನ್ ಲೇಹ್ಯಾನ್ ಪೇಯಾನ್ ವಿವಿಧಾನಿ ಅರ್ಥಭಕ್ಷಿತಾನ್ ಭೋಜ್ಯಾನಿ ಚ (ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಅನ್ವವೈಕ್ಷತ)|| ತಥಾ ಆಮ್ಲಲವಣೋತ್ತಂಸೈಃ ವಿವಿಧೈಃ ರಾಗಷಾಡಭೈಃ ಅಪವಿದ್ಧೈಃ ಮಹಾಧನೈಃ ಹಾರನೂಪುರಕೇಯೂರೈಃ ಪಾನಭಾಜನವಿಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತೈಃ ವಿವಿಧೈಃ ಫಲೈಶ್ಚ ಕೃತಪುಷ್ಪೋಪಹಾರಾ ಭೂಃ ಅಧಿಕಂ ಶ್ರಿಯಂ ಪುಷ್ಯತಿ||

He saw a variety of several types of cooked fowls, half eaten ruddy geese , buffaloes, fishes, goats and all sorts of food that can be licked and variety of drinks. The banquet hall, filled with food seasoned with salt and sour ingredients, with many types of syrups, with discarded heavy chains, anklets and shoulder straps, with drinks spilt from glasses, with many fruits and flowers, looked very splendid.

ಸ||ಪಾನಭೂಮಿಃ ತತ್ರ ತತ್ರ ವಿನ್ಯಸ್ತೈಃ ಸುಶ್ಲಿಷ್ಠೈಃ ಶಯನಾಸನೈಃ ವಿನಾ ವಹ್ನಿಂ ಪ್ರದೀಪ್ತೇವ ಉಪಲಕ್ಷ್ಯತೇ || ಬಹುಪ್ರಕಾರೈಃ ವಿವಿಧೈಃ ವ ರಸಂಸ್ಕಾರಸಂಸ್ಕೃತೈಃ ಕುಶಲ ಸಂಪೃಕ್ತೈಃ ಪೃಥಕ್ ಪಾನಭೂಮಿ ಗತೈಃ ಮಾಂಸೈಃ ||

The banquet hall with well arranged beds and seats here and there was glowing even wthout fire. With variety of meat arranged in many ways seasoned with many types of ingredients, cooked by experts the banquet hall was filled.

ಸ|| ದಿವ್ಯಾಃ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನಾಃ ವಿವಿಧಾಃ ಸುರಾಃ ಶರ್ಕರಾssಸವ ಮಾಧ್ವೀಕ ಪುಷ್ಪಾಸವ ಫಲಾಸವಾಃ ಕೃತಸುರಾಃ ಅಪಿ ತೈಸ್ತೈಃ ವಿವಿಧೈಃ ವಾಸಚೂರ್ಣೈಃ ಪೃಥಕ್ ಪೃಥಕ್ ಮೃಷ್ಟಾಃ||ಬಹುಶಂಸ್ಥಿತೈಃ ಮಾಲ್ಯೈಶ್ಚ ಸಂತತಾ ಹಿರಣ್ಮಯೈಃ ಸ್ಫಾಟಿಕೈರಪಿ ವಿವಿಧೈಃ ಭಾಜನೈಃ ಜಾಮ್ಬೂನದಮಯೈಃ ಅನ್ಯೈಃ ಕರಕೈಃ ಅಭಿಸಂವೃತಾ ಭೂಮಿಃ ಶುಶುಭೇ||

Wonderful and pleasing wines extracted from sugarcane , honey and flowers though fermented were made delicious with spices. Arranged in variety of ways with garlands, vessels made of gold and crystals , the jars spread all over , the floor looked splendid.

ಸೋಪಶ್ಯ ಚ್ಚಾತಕುಂಭಾನಿ ಶೀಧೋರ್ಮಣಿಮಯಾನಿ ಚ|
ರಾಜತಾನಿ ಚ ಪೂರ್ಣಾನಿ ಭಾಜನಾನಿ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ||24||

ಸ|| ಕಪಿಃ ತದಾ ರಾಜತೇಷು ಜಾಮ್ಬೂನದಮಯೇಷು ಕುಂಭೇಷು ಭೂರಿ ಪಾನಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠಂ ತತ್ರ ದದರ್ಶ ಹ|| ಸ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ ಪೂರ್ಣಾನಿ ಶೀಧೋಃ ಭಾಜನಾನಿ ಶಾತಕುಮ್ಭಾನಿ ಮಣಿಮಾಯಾನಿ ಚ ರಜತಾನಿ ಚ ಅಪಶ್ಯತ್||

The Vanara saw abundant of the best of wines kept in silver and golden vessels. The great Vanara saw filled wine vessels made of made of gold inlaid with gems also and of silver too.

ಕ್ವಚಿತ್ ಅರ್ಥಾವಶೇಷಾಣಿ ಕ್ವಚಿ ಪೀತಾನಿ ಸರ್ವಶಃ|
ಕ್ವಚಿನ್ನೈವ ಪ್ರಪೀತಾನಿ ಪಾನಾನಿ ಸ ದದರ್ಶ ಹ||25||
ಕ್ವಚಿದೃಕ್ಷ್ಯಾಂ ಶ್ಚ ವಿವಿಧಾನ್ ಕ್ವಚಿತ್ಪಾನಾನಿ ಭಾಗಶಃ|
ಕ್ವಚಿದರ್ಥಾವ ಶೇಷಾಣಿ ಪಶ್ಯನ್ ವೈ ವಿಚಚಾರ ಹ||26||

ಸ|| ಕ್ವಚಿತ್ ಅರ್ಥಾವಶೇಷಾಣಿ ಕ್ವಚಿತ್ ಸರ್ವಶಃ ಪೀತಾನಿ ಕ್ವಚಿತ್ ನೈವ ಪ್ರಪೀತಾನಿ ಪಾನಾನಿ ದದರ್ಶ ಹ|| ಕ್ವಚಿತ್ ವಿವಿಧಾನ್ ಭಕ್ಷ್ಯಾಂಶ್ಚ ಕ್ವಚಿತ್ ಪಾನಾನಿಭಾಗಶಃ ಕ್ವಚಿತ್ ಅವಶೇಷಾಣಿ ಪಶ್ಯನ್ ವಿಚಚಾರ ಹ||

There he saw some half filled, some fully drained and some not even touched drinks. In one place many types of eatables, at another place drinks separately , yet at another place left over food was seen as he moved about.

ಕ್ವಚಿತ್ಸಂಪೃಕ್ತಮಾಲ್ಯಾನಿ ಜಲಾನಿ ಫಲಾನಿ ಚ||27||

ಸ|| ಕ್ವಚಿತ್ ಪ್ರಭಿನ್ನೈಃ ಕರಕೈಃ ಕ್ವಚಿತ್ ಆಲೋಲಿತೈಃ ಘಟೈಃ ಕ್ವಚಿತ್ ಸಂಪ್ರುಕ್ತಮಾಲ್ಯಾನಿ ಜಲಾನಿ ಚ ಫಲಾನಿ ಚ (ಹನುಮಾನ್ ದದರ್ಶ)||

At one place he saw a broken pots at another place rolling pots and yet at another place mixed up flower garlands strewn about along with water and fruits..

There Hanuman saw some women's beds unused, some women were sleeping having embraced another woman. Some overcome with sleep pulled the clothes from some other sleeping women and slept.

ತಾಸಾಂ ಉಚ್ಚ್ವಾಸವಾತೇನ ವಸ್ತ್ರಂ ಮಾಲ್ಯಂ ಚ ಗಾತ್ರಜಮ್|
ನಾತ್ಯರ್ಧಂ ಸ್ಪಂದತೇ ಚಿತ್ರಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ಯ ಮಂದಮಿವಾನಲಮ್||30||

ಸ|| ತಾಸಾಂ ಗಾತ್ರಜಂ ವಸ್ತ್ರಂ ಮಾಲ್ಯಾಂಶ್ಚ ಉಛ್ಛ್ವಾಸವಾತೇನ ಮಂದಂ ಅನಿಲಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ಯ ಇವ ನಾತ್ಯರ್ಥಂ ಚಿತ್ರಂ ಸ್ಪಂದತೇ||

The clothes on their bodies as well as the garlands moved gently by the wind created by their exhalations. .

ಚಂದನಸ್ಯ ಚ ಶೀತಸ್ಯ ಶೀಥೋರ್ಮಧುರಸಸ್ಯ ಚ|
ವಿವಿಧಸ್ಯ ಚ ಮಾಲ್ಯಸ್ಯ ಧೂಪಸ್ಯ ವಿವಿಧಸ್ಯ ಚ||31||
ಬಹುಧಾ ಮಾರುತಃ ತತ್ರ ಗಂಧಂ ವಿವಿಧಮುದ್ವಹನ್|
ಸ್ನಾನಾನಾಂ ಚಂದನಾನಾಂ ಚ ಧೂಪಾನಾಂ ಚೈವ ಮೂರ್ಚಿತಃ||32||
ಪ್ರವವೌ ಸುರಭಿರ್ಗಂಧೋ ವಿಮಾನೇ ಪುಷ್ಪಕೇ ತದಾ|

ತತ್ರ ಮಾರುತಃ ಶೀತಸ್ಯ ಚಂದನಸ್ಯ ಶೀಥೋಃ ಮಧುರಸ್ಯ ಚ ವಿವಿಧಸ್ಯ ಮಾಲ್ಯಸ್ಯ ವಿವಿಧಸ್ಯ ಧೂಪಸ್ಯ ಚ ವಿವಿಧಂ ಗಂಧಂ ಬಹುಧಾ ಉದ್ವಹನ್||ಸ|| ತದಾ ಪುಷ್ಪಕೇ ವಿಮಾನೇ ಸ್ನಾನಾನಾಮ್ ಚಂದನಾನಾಂ ಚ ಧೂಪಾನಾಂ ಚೈವ ಸುರಭಿಃ ಗಂಧಃ ಮೂರ್ಚಿತಃ ಪ್ರವವೌ||

There wind carried the fragrances of cool sandal , of sweet smelling wines of different types, of flower garlands of different types, of incenses of different types. Then on the Pushpaka chariot the fragrance of cool sandal used after bath, fragrance of incense as well as sweet smelling wines wafted through.

ಶ್ಯಾಮಾವದಾತಾಃ ತತ್ರಾನ್ಯಾಃ ಕಾಶ್ಚಿತ್ ಕೃಷ್ಣಾ ವರಾಂಗನಾಃ||33||
ಕಾಶ್ಚಿತ್ ಕಾಂಚನ ವರ್ಣಾಂಗ್ಯಃ ಪ್ರಮದಾ ರಾಕ್ಷಸಾಲಯೇ|
ತಾಸಾಂ ನಿದ್ರಾವಶತ್ವಾಚ್ಚ ಮದನೇನ ವಿಮೂರ್ಛಿತಮ್||34||
ಪದ್ಮಿನೀನಾಂ ಪ್ರಸುಪ್ತಾನಾಂ ರೂಪಮಾಸೀದ್ಯಥೈವ ಚ|

ಸ|| ತತ್ರ ರಾಕ್ಷಸಾಲಯೇ ಅನ್ಯಾಃ ಶ್ಯಾಮಾವದಾತಾಃ ಕಾಶ್ಚಿತ್ ವರಾಂಗನಾಃ ಕೃಷ್ಣಾಃ ಕಾಶ್ಚಿತ್ ಪ್ರಮದಾಃ ಕಾಂಚನವರ್ಣಾಂಗ್ಯಃ || ನಿದ್ರಾವಶತ್ವಾಚ್ಚ ಮದನೇನ ಚ ವಿಮೂರ್ಛಿತಮ್ ಪ್ರಸುಪ್ತಾನಾಂ ತಾಸಾಂ ರೂಪಂ ಯಥಾ ಪ್ರಸುಪ್ತಾನಾಂ ಪದ್ಮಿನೀನಾಂ ಇವ ಆಸೀತ್ ||

There in the mansion of Rakshasas there were other Rakshasa women of glowing dark complexion as well as lovely women dark in color as well as some of golden complexion. Over come with sleep and exhausted due to dalliance , the women who were sleeping looked like lotus creepers.

ಏವಂ ಸರ್ವಂ ಅಶೇಷೇಣ ರಾವಣಾಂತಃಪುರಂ ಕಪಿಃ||35||
ದದರ್ಶ ಸುಮಹಾತೇಜಾ ನ ದದರ್ಶ ಜಾನಿಕೀಮ್|

ಸ|| ಸುಮಹಾತೇಜಃ ಕಪಿಃ ಏವಂ ಸರ್ವಂ ರಾವಣಾಂತಃ ಪುರಂ ಅಶೇಷೇಣ ದದರ್ಶ | ಜಾನಕೀಂ ಚ ನದದರ್ಶ||

The brillinat Vanara saw all this in the inner apartments of Ravana . He did not see Janaki.

ಆ ಮಹಾತೇಜೋವಂತುಡೈನ ವಾನರುಡು ಇದಂತಾ ಶೇಷಮುಲೇಕುಂಡಾ ರಾವಣಾಂತಃಪುರಮುಲೋ ಚೂಚೆನು. ಕಾನಿ ಜಾನಕಿನಿ ಮಾತ್ರಮು ಚೂಡಲೇದು.

ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಮಾಣಶ್ಚ ತದಾ ತಾಃ ಸ್ತ್ರಿಯಃ ಸ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ||36||
ಜಗಾಮ ಮಹತೀಂ ಚಿಂತಾಂ ಧರ್ಮಸಾಧ್ವಸಶಂಕಿತಃ |
ಪರದಾರಾವರೋಧಸ್ಯ ಪ್ರಸುಪ್ತಸ್ಯ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಣಮ್||37||
ಇದಂ ಖಲು ಮಮಾತ್ಯರ್ಥಂ ಧರ್ಮಲೋಪಂ ಕರಿಷ್ಯತಿ|

ಸ|| ತಥಾ ಸ್ತ್ರಿಯಃ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಮಾಣಃ ಸಃ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ ಧರ್ಮಸಾಧ್ವಸಶಂಕಿತಃ ಮಹತೀಂ ಚಿಂತಾಂ ಜಗಾಮ|| ಪ್ರಸುಪ್ತಸ್ಯ ಪರದಾರಾವರೋಧಸ್ಯ ಇದಂ ಮಮ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಣಮ್ ಅತ್ಯರ್ಥಂ ಧರ್ಮಲೋಪಂ ಕರಿಷ್ಯತಿ ||

Then the great Vanara while seeing the women thinking that he transgressed the moral code started thinking with a concern. 'Seeing the sleeping wives of other men is very much a transgression of moral code by me'.

ನ ಹಿ ಮೇ ಪರದಾರಾಣಾಂ ದೃಷ್ಠಿರ್ವಿಷಯವರ್ತಿನೀ||38||
ಅಯಂ ಚಾತ್ರ ಮಯಾದೃಷ್ಟಃ ಪರದಾರ ಪರಿಗ್ರಹಃ|
ತಸ್ಯ ಪ್ರಾದುರಭೂಚ್ಚಿಂತಾ ಪುನರನ್ಯಾ ಮನಸ್ವಿನಃ ||39||
ನಿಶ್ಚಿತೈಕಾಂತಚಿತ್ತಸ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿಶ್ಚಯದರ್ಶಿನೀ|

ಸ|| ಮೇ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಃ ಪರದಾರಾಣಾಂ ವಿಷಯವರ್ತಿನೀ ನ ಹಿ ಅತ್ರ ಮಯಾ ಪರದಾರಾಪರಿಗ್ರಹಃ ದೃಷ್ಟಶ್ಚ || ಮನಸ್ವಿನಃ ನಿಶ್ಚಿತೈಕಾಂತಚಿತ್ತಸ್ಯ ತಸ್ಯ ಪುನಃ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿಶ್ಚಯದರ್ಶಿನೀ ಅನ್ಯಾ ಚಿಂತಾ ಪ್ರಾದುರಭೂತ್ ||

' I have seen others wives , but seeing wives of others is not with sensual mind'. The highly sensible Vanara was struck with another brilliant idea that he is single minded in the direction of the task ahead.

ಕಾಮಂ ದೃಷ್ಟಾ ಮಯಾಸರ್ವಾ ವಿಶ್ವಸ್ತಾ ರಾವಣಸ್ತ್ರಿಯಃ||40||
ನ ಹಿ ಮೇ ಮನಸಃ ಕಿಂಚಿತ್ ವೈಕೃತ್ಯಂ ಉಪಪದ್ಯತೇ|
ಮನೋ ಹಿ ಹೇತುಃ ಸರ್ವೇಷಾಂ ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಾಣಾಂ ಪ್ರವರ್ತನೇ||41||
ಶುಭಾಶುಭಾ ಸ್ವವಸ್ಥಾಸು ಯಚ್ಚ ಮೇ ಸುವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಿತಮ್|

ಸ|| ವಿಶ್ವಸ್ತಾಃ ಸರ್ವಾಃ ರಾವಣಸ್ತ್ರಿಯಃ ಮಯಾ ಕಾಮಂ ದೃಷ್ಟಾಃ ಮೇ ಮನಸಃ ಕಿಂಚಿತ್ ವೈಕೃತ್ಯಂ ಉಪಜಾಯತೇ ಹಿ||ಶುಭ ಅಶುಭಾಃ ಅವಸ್ಥಾಸು ಸರ್ವೇಷಾಮ್ ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಾಣಾಂ ಪ್ರವರ್ತನೇ ಮನಃ ಹೇತುಃ | ಮೇ ಮನಃ ತಚ್ಚ ಸುವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಿತಮ್||

'All the loyal wives of Ravana were seen without any foul desire. My mind is not perturbed even a little. At all times for good and bad the sense organs are controlled by the mind. My mind is firmly established'.

ನಾನ್ಯತ್ರ ಹಿ ಮಯಾ ಶಕ್ಯಾ ವೈದೇಹೀ ಪರಿಮಾರ್ಗಿತುಮ್||42||
ಸ್ತ್ರಿಯೋ ಹಿ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಷು ದೃಶ್ಯಂತೇ ಸದಾ ಸಂಪರಿಮಾರ್ಗಣೇ|
ಯಸ್ಯ ಸತ್ತ್ವಸ್ಯ ಯಾ ಯೋನಿಃ ತಸ್ಯಾಂ ತತ್ಪರಿಮಾರ್ಗ್ಯತೇ||43||
ನ ಶಕ್ಯಾ ಪ್ರಮದಾ ನಷ್ಟಾ ಮೃಗೀಷು ಪರಿಮಾರ್ಗಿತುಮ್|

ಸ|| ವೈದೇಹೀ ಅನ್ಯತ್ರ ಪರಿಮಾರ್ಗಿತುಂ ಮಯಾ ನ ಶಕ್ಯಾ ಹಿ ಸದಾ ಸಂಪರಿಮಾರ್ಗನೇ ಸ್ರಿಯಃ ಸ್ತ್ರಿಷು ದೃಶ್ಯಂತೇ || ಯಸ್ಯ ಸತ್ವಸ್ಯ ಯಾ ಯೋನಿಃ ತತ್ ತಾಸ್ಯಾಮ್ ಪರಿಮಾರ್ಗ್ಯತೇ ನಷ್ಟಾ ಪ್ರಮದಾ ಮೃಗೀಷು ಪರಿಮಾರ್ಗಿತುಂ ನ ಶಕ್ಯಾ||

'It is not possible to search for Vaidehi any other way. Women can be looked for among women. One has to search for a creature among its own species. It is not possible to find a lost woman in the herd of female deer'.

ತದಿದಂ ಮಾರ್ಗಿತಂ ತಾವಚ್ಚುದ್ಧೇನ ಮನಸಾ ಮಯಾ||44||
ರಾವಣಾಂತಃ ಪುರಂ ಸರ್ವಂ ದೃಶ್ಯತೇ ನ ಚ ಜಾನಕೀ|
ದೇವಗಂಧರ್ವಕನ್ಯಾಶ್ಚ ನಾಗಕನ್ಯಾಶ್ಚ ವೀರ್ಯವಾನ್||45||
ಅವೇಕ್ಷಮಾಣೋ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ನೈವಾಪಶ್ಯತ ಜಾನಿಕೀಮ್|
ತಾ ಮಪಶ್ಯನ್ ಕಪಿಃ ತತ್ರ ಪಶ್ಯಂ ಶ್ಚಾನ್ಯಾ ವರಸ್ತ್ರಿಯಃ ||46||
ಅಪಕ್ರಮ್ಯ ತದಾ ವೀರಃ ಪ್ರಧ್ಯಾತುಮುಪಚಕ್ರಮೇ|

ಸ||ತತ್ ಮಯಾ ಶುದ್ಧೇನ ಮನಸಾ ಇದಂ ಸರ್ವಂ ರಾವಣಾಂತಃ ಪುರಂ ಮಾರ್ಗಿತುಂ | ಜಾನಕೀ ತು ನದೃಶ್ಯತೇ|| ದೇವಗಂಧರ್ವಕನ್ಯಾಶ್ಚ ನಾಗಕನ್ಯಾಶ್ಚ ಅವೇಕ್ಷಮಾಣಃ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ವೀರ್ಯವಾನ್ ಜಾನಕೀಂ ನೈವ ಅಪಶ್ಯತ|| ವೀರಃ ಕಪಿಃ ತತ್ರ ತಾಂ ಅಪಶ್ಯನ್ ಅನ್ಯಾಃ ವರಸ್ತ್ರಿಯಃ ಪಶ್ಯಶ್ಚ ತದಾ ಅಪಕ್ರಮ್ಯ ಪ್ರದ್ಯಾತುಂ ಉಪಚಕ್ರಮೇ||

'This Ravana's harem was serached with pure mind by me , but i have not seen Janaki'. He saw daughters of Devas, Gandharvas. Nagas but the valiant Hanuman did not find Janaki. The valiant Vanara unable of see her among other women , moved aside and started thinking.

ಸಭೂಯಸ್ತು ಪರಂ ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಮಾರುತಿರ್ಯತ್ನ ಮಾಸ್ಥಿತಃ|
ಅಪಾನಭೂಮಿ ಮುತ್ಸೃಜ್ಯ ತದ್ವಿಚೇತುಂ ಪ್ರಚಕ್ರಮೇ||47||

ಸ|| ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಸಃ ಮಾರುತಿಃ ಆಪಾನಭೂಮಿಂ ಉತ್ಸೃಜ್ಯ ಭೂಯಃ ಪರಂ ಯತ್ನಂ ಆಸ್ಥಿತಃ ತತ್ ವಿಚೇತುಂ ಉಪಚಕ್ರಮೇ||
